Hook students and staff are excited about the Accelerated Reader Program. Every student is participating, so every student should have at least one AR book checked out and with them at all times. We’ve got action, adventure, mysteries, romance and the most popular – scary stories. Come read the classics or try something new. Our non-fiction section has plenty of fact-filled books from which you can learn about the ocean, the presidents, vampires, ninjas, and much more.
We are open during class time and after school. We are also open during both lunches; at which time you may come in and find a good book.
Did you know that the #1 way to improve reading skills is to spend time reading? It's true! And enjoying what you read makes it even more effective. Also, improving reading skills helps improve test scores. SO... get in here and GET READING!
